Sightseeing in Rhodes goes way further than the Old Town. In and out of town, the history of Rhodes continues to shine through the barriers of time, through intriguing attractions of immense historical and cultural importance. Visit the Ancient Stadium and the temple of Apollo just outside the city, for gorgeous panoramas to the sea and the sunset, and the three ancient Rhodian Akropolis, at Lindos, Kamiros and Filerimos. The medieval castles of Monolithos, Agathi and Asklipio are also worth a visit, both for their historical significance and their views, while traditional villages showcase the island’s rich cultural heritage and delightful local products.
